Julie, in a podcast, Wiser Than Me, talked about her permanently damaged vocal cords and how it landed her in depression. As Andrews recalled, her voice wouldn’t recover, but she eventually found a doctor who helped her regain her voice. Her vocal cords remain damaged because she can’t sing, which Julie misses very much.
